Things I learned at my nutritionist's appointment
* FOOD is not 'good' or 'bad'.
* I am not 'bad' for getting fat. The way I eat is not 'disgusting'.
* I am not a failure for putting on weight after leaving a slimming club.
* I do not lack 'willpower'
* I should stop beating myself up about getting fat
* The way I eat, when I eat and how much I eat, is learned behaviour.
* I CAN EAT WHAT I WANT, WHEN I WANT (Yes I am shouting.)
* Hearing and starting to grasp these things, at the age of 40, makes me cry.
OK, hear me out, because if I saw someone recommending hypnotherapy and more money chucking as a route to weight loss, I'd want to stop reading about now...
I really recommend Paul McKenna's latest weight loss book. Personally, I'm not sold on the power of the hypnotism element, but the book itself makes a surprising amount of sense. It's all about being able to eat whatever you want, whenever your hungry. The key is to really enjoy it, and to stop when you're full. It sounds like that's in the same vein as what the nutritionist was talking about, but the book might provide a bit of support between appointments. I've got a much more healthy relationship to food as a result, which has been about 25 years coming. (And the hypnotist CD sends me to sleep, if nothing else!)

Hi Susi - yes I have the book, it was "lent" to me by a personal trainer - and I have seen people on TV talking about their success - it does seem to work well. I have it buried under a pile of paperwork somewhere at home. As it's such a huge seller, I can well believe what a good job it does.
I underwent hypnosis years ago locally, not with P McKenna, I hasten to add. I wrote about it in a newspaper but held back - if I had paid for the same experience, I would have asked for my money back.
I am not an expert, just someone trying their best to get a healthier attitude around food to free me up to lose weight - there is a lot of 'baggage' - not least being treated for depression in the past, which I have no doubt contributed to me gaining so much weight - the being depressed not being treated I mean!
I can only speak from my own experience and with hand on heart, thanks to the nutritionist I went to see yesterday, I feel like a fog has lifted.

Hi, I specialise in relaxation music.
So what makes mine so different? well it is used by many practitioners and therapists world wide because of its abilities to take the listener far deeper than most relaxation music can do.
This gives the customer a much better experience and of course will recomend you to friends and associates as well.
My website contains very high quality audio samples, I do appreciate your time is very busy, but just 5 minutes may give you the best customer satisfaction you have ever had.
